It is with great enthusiasm that the City of Laval has obtained the approval of Quebec and Ottawa governments to finance the construction of this brand-new aquatic complex. The building will include 3 pools that can accommodate 875 swimmers and 600 spectators and multifunctional rooms. A large-scale project that will also benefit the co-owners of VIVA Condos.

3 pools, including a semi-Olympic 50m

With a surface area of 11,400 m², the aquatic complex will offer Laval residents three indoor pools: a recreational pool, a 50-metre semi-Olympic pool, a paddling pool for small children (including a slide) and several other recreational areas.

An overview of the foundations

Located behind the Cosmodome, on Terry Fox Avenue to be exact, the new aquatic complex is scheduled to open in 2024. The $20 million in provincial and federal funding will allow for the continued construction of the aquatic complex, for which the foundation was started in the spring of 2018.

Swimming, a popular activity in Laval

Laval residents are delighted that this aquatic complex will be built in their city. Swimming is indeed one of the most popular sports in Laval.
